ABOUT US

Manhattan TLC for Pets is a family owned and operated business, established in 1991. We treat every dog and cat as if they were our own. From puppies to kittens and young adults to seniors, we do it all joyfully 7 days a week 365 days a year. Our services include dog boards, walks and training, cat visits, home-stays, transport, baths and brushing, tooth cleaning and claw trimming.

Our commitment is renowned. We are dedicated to keeping our dogs, cats and their owners happy.

1990		Carol ~ I'm pregnant with my first, keeping busy with my four cats at home as well as outside cat sitting jobs. Beth, our local East Village bartender offers me her moonlight- a dog walking "business" consisting of about five walks a day.
1991		Strolling our baby while gradually building the dog walking biz, Manhattan TLC for Pets. I'm now walking eight to ten dogs each day and observing pack dynamics at our neighborhood dog run.
1993		I'm with dogs around the clock, walking them, boarding them and finding success when asked by clients to reform disobedient beggars and lifelong biters.
1994		While pregnant with my second and walking 6 hours each day ~ Peter joins TLC part-time in August to walk and transport our clients' dogs.
1995		When Simon comes off the street and into our lives, riddled with worms and going blind, we learn how a meek, ailing rescue can turn into a robust case study on blind rage. Each day brings us a new lesson on difficult dog behavior.
1996		With over thirty dogs on a busy walk-day and a few home boarders every day of the week~ Sam begins helping out part-time with home stays and weekend walks.
1999		We rescue a big, sensitive, barky dog, Lester, from NYC's Lower East Side. Each day brings us a new lesson on behavioral modification.
2003		Growing up fast ~ Carter and Lilly have become invaluable members of the biz by keeping puppies playing and elders exercising.
